3D Modelling

Our 3D modelling capability stretches across all types of mechanical design bringing extensive experience in CAD for both traditional and advanced manufacturing methods, including designing for additive manufacturing (DFAM).

3D Scanning

Our 3D scanning capability is used to establish accurate part geometry and surface data to validate 3D printed parts against design data. We also use our hand-held scanner for reverse engineering and surveys.

3D Printing

Our 3D printing (or additive layer manufacturing) facility enables AFD3D to produce high quality polymer parts and assemblies for trial-fits and mock-ups, tooling fixtures, and final production parts across sectors.


In MANUFACTURING, our focus is additive layer manufacturing of polymer parts, prototypes, trial-fit mock-ups, and lightweight tooling. Our facility houses an array of FDM printers and ancillary equipment including a Stratasys Fortus 450mc for printing ultra-polymer materials.
